Oh, I would use this gift certificate in a heartbeat to get a wool diaper cover for nighttime use! We use cloth during the day, but disposable at night, and I would MUCH rather use the wool cover!
November 3, 2008 at 7:51 pm |
I’m a big fan of the FuzziBunz pocket diapers. They’re easy to use and wash / dry quickly.
November 3, 2008 at 7:58 pm |
The bamboo diapers are a fanastic idea. With bamboo being such a “new” green product that is readily available, and its absorbant properties this diaper is a winner!
November 3, 2008 at 8:13 pm |
I am expecting my first and hopign to use cloth diapers exclusively. I also really like the wool diaper covers. Given that they are natural and absorb so much water, they are great for baby and night time diapering.
November 3, 2008 at 8:18 pm |
My one month old is already in the Aristocrat wool covers and they are so easy to use and keep his clothes dry. They need infrequent washing and hang to dry. And made in BC.
November 3, 2008 at 8:21 pm |
I would love a wool cloth diaper for nighttime, so I can stop buying diapers for my daughter!
November 3, 2008 at 8:37 pm |
I would use the $50 to purchase bumgenius one-sized diapers due to the convenience of not having to purchase different sizes.
November 3, 2008 at 9:20 pm |
I would totally buy a new aristocrat with it. I love wool at night, so soft, warm and my baby is always dry in the morning over a bamboo diaper!
November 3, 2008 at 9:28 pm |
Wow, a company from ym neck of the woods!
This site is definitely bookmarked. Thanks!
Most of the companies I have come across are from other areas of Canada or the US. If I won the $50 credit for New and Green Baby Co, I would first try out the Bamboo Doodlez All-in-One Diapers . They seem like a perfect option for my little one. She has sensitive skin. This AIO seems like a pretty cool option. I like the style of these AIO. The bamboo/polyester/micro fleece combo sounds pretty soft yet VERY durable. Being introduced to it would be an awesome thing.
November 3, 2008 at 9:42 pm |
I like the bum Genius system. Looks easy to use and clean, plus is so darn cute!!! I think the way to convert others to cloth diapers is to appeal to aesthetic and ease of use. Bum Genius are both, and by using them, I will be able to be an advertisement for both cloth diapering and New and Green Baby Co.
November 3, 2008 at 9:45 pm |
I was a big fan of the Bum Genius, but after using them for around 8 months now, the velcro isn’t working well anymore and the elastics are almost shot! I like the Fuzzi Bunz better since it has the snap system and more fun colours are available.
November 3, 2008 at 10:09 pm |
After browsing the website, I think I like the Bumgenius cloth diapers best for trying as a first time mom (who has yet to deliver!). They seem particularly simple and straightforward and you don’t have to buy a different size for each stage of baby’s development.
November 3, 2008 at 10:49 pm |
I use the one-size fitted with a Bummis cover for the most cost effective solution. I would love, love to add a few wool covers to my stash though.
November 3, 2008 at 11:36 pm |
I’m currently using bamboo diapers but I’ve never seen an AIO bamboo diaper like the Bamboo Doodlez All-in-One Diapers – would LOVE to try them out to see how much we love the convenience, goodness and softness!
November 3, 2008 at 11:45 pm |
I’d like to try the Bum Genius one’s cause I’ve heard so many rave reviews for them, and my son has never been able to lie still for more then a minute on the changing table so the velcro tabs would make it a nice and easy change I would think. The Bamboozle one’s also look appealing to me, cause they are all natural, sustainable material, and so soft looking.
November 4, 2008 at 12:39 am |
I use Fuzzibunz, which I really like because they are so easy to use. Also, I love the fact that they have snaps, because I know that on most clothing items, velcro wears out after awhile, and I want my cloth diapers to last for a few children!
However, if I won the $50 gift certificate, I would love to try out the Bamboo Doodlez All-in-One Diapers!
November 4, 2008 at 2:02 am |
I love New and Green! If I had a $50 gift certificate I would buy more fuzzibunz! I love them!
November 4, 2008 at 2:48 am |
I’m a huge fan of Fuzzi Bunz…my 4th little girl is too! She can’t stand being wet so they are a must while out and about when I am not able to change her immediately. I would use the $50 to round out our stash, as we’re needing more soon!
November 4, 2008 at 3:28 am |
I am about to become a mother of a 7 month old baby that I am adopting. I really want to use cloth diapers but there are so many to choose from and I find it all a little overwhelming. I love that New and Green has a sample package for larger babies. I would put the $50 towards the sample package to see which diapers fit the best.
November 4, 2008 at 4:10 am |
I would buy a couple of the Bamboo Doodlez All in Ones. So many good things in one diaper! I’m always on the hunt for the perfect cloth diapers to leave with the grandparents and babysitters. A combination of what I want in a cloth diaper and something super simple to use. These may be the ones!
November 4, 2008 at 4:25 am |
I would love to get some wool covers for my 6 month old daughter. We use cloth during the day, but she is a heavy wetter at night, so I have turned to disposible. Those are now not cutting it, thus the need for wool. I can’t tell you how nice it is to have a company like New & Green to turn to for advice and great selection as well as to have them right in your own backyard.
November 4, 2008 at 3:00 pm |
I think the Diaper Tester Program is the best thing ever! I have already told all my friends.
November 4, 2008 at 3:01 pm |
I personally use and love the BumGenius Organic All-In-Ones on my daughter. We love the fact that they are onesize and the inner is made of organic cotton. They are our go-to-out-and-about diaper for sure. With the 50$ GC, I would buy more of those. We are always running out before laundry day.
November 4, 2008 at 3:01 pm |

I love New & Green Baby Co – when my second babe was born premature, Karen knew I wanted to cloth diaper again and went out of her way to make sure I had a complete set of the teeniest tiniest dipes for her when we got home from the NICU! I would use $50 towards some new Bummis wraps in the larger sizes – they are great and I love the funky prints!
November 4, 2008 at 3:25 pm |
I love the idea of the bamboo diapers.
November 4, 2008 at 4:07 pm |
I wish I had found this site earlier. I use cloth diapers, and my son has never had diaper rash. They are the way to go and keep the landfills empty. I use Bum Genius but would love to try the organic version. I’ll let my friends know about this site.
November 4, 2008 at 4:08 pm |
I use have always used prefolds but need more pocket diapers for overnight & when out of the house. I’d love to try the Fuzzi Bunz & Bum Genius.
November 4, 2008 at 4:46 pm |
I would love to get a basic set to get me started with cloth diapers. I am due Nov. 25, and want to try a few different styles to see what I like best.
November 4, 2008 at 5:05 pm |
I love the Fuzzi Buns diapers … how can you get any cuter than these! Just love the cloth and with style too…best for baby and fashionable
)
November 4, 2008 at 5:16 pm |
I would use the $50 to buy some All in One diapers. My baby is so wiggly that it is a struggle to get him into our cloth diapers and then into the covers! I also love the idea of getting bamboo diapers- good for him and for the environment.
November 4, 2008 at 5:17 pm |

We already use and love a number of New & Green’s pocket and AIO diapers. We would love to try Bum Genius Organic or a Monkey Doodlez bamboo diaper for overnight.
Their diapering 101 workshops are really helpful!
November 4, 2008 at 5:56 pm |
I have not cloth diapered yet, but keep thinking about it. I do find the options overwhelming. I would definately start with the test kit to try out the different options, and get used to how it all works.
November 4, 2008 at 6:03 pm |
I have a few favs. I love the bumgenius os pockets. I also really love the AMP hemp fitteds. I actually love use these at night with a doubler. I only have 2 though – I’d love to get more!
November 4, 2008 at 6:15 pm |
I LOVE the Fuzzi Bunz as they are EASY to use and kind on the environment
… plus they allow your baby to make a fashion statement with all the FUN colours!
November 4, 2008 at 6:24 pm |
I love the availability of so many cloth diapers at one site. The bumgenius are my favourites, but I think I’d like to try bamboo for night time use.
November 4, 2008 at 6:28 pm |
I like the look of the Bamboozle bamboo diapers. Love the fact that this is a sustainable textile, and that they are so absorbent and naturally antibacterial. I also like the Aristocrat wool diaper covers – planning on getting one of these soon.. maybe with the $50 goft certificate?
November 4, 2008 at 6:37 pm |
We think we might try the Bumgenius, heard great things. Still lots to learn about, so this site is a good resource… love that it is local!
November 4, 2008 at 7:02 pm |
I would love to try a combination of bamboo fitted diapers with a wool cover for night and Bumgenius organic one sizes for during the day. I really like the properties of bamboo and the idea of convenience of pocket diapers and AIO for being out and about during the day.
November 4, 2008 at 7:21 pm |
I like the bamboo prefitted – nice and easy for this gramma to use.
November 4, 2008 at 7:22 pm |
I love Fuzzi Bunz pocket diapers…and so does my husband, which makes diaper changing a team task. I also have KissaLuvs with Bummis Super Brite Whisper Wraps, which I love for their ability to hold in messes that would otherwise escape from disposable diapers
I would use my $50 to buy a couple more Fuzzi Bunz diapers.
November 4, 2008 at 7:55 pm |
I would definately use this prize to get some fuzzy buns! Right now I am a prefolds/bummis momma…but would like to try something new.
November 4, 2008 at 10:23 pm |
I like the idea of the BumGenius One size diapers. I’m considering cloth for my second child (my first is still in disposables) and this seems like the most universal diaper. I could even use it on my 2 year old! I would probably get the test kit first then decide…
November 4, 2008 at 10:25 pm |
I love the idea of having a single set of diapers for use during the childs entire life in cloth diapers. I also love the idea of having a super simple diaper system that grandma and grandpa wouldnt have a problem using. So I would love to try the Bum Genius diapers.
November 4, 2008 at 11:35 pm |
I like Fuzzi Bunz but would like to try some AIOs.
November 5, 2008 at 12:18 am |
I really like the Bambineo Bamboo Fitted diapers. They sound lovely as they are made of biodegradable products, pesticide and fertilizer free. I also love that this diaper is versatile and comes in two sizes from 6lbs right through 35lbs! I can’t wait to buy my cloth diapers!
November 5, 2008 at 1:18 am |
I like the AMP All-In-One diapers. They are convenient, have a snug fit, and keep poop explosions contained. However, I would also like to try the Bamboo Doodlez All-In-One diaper since we find bamboo to be a great material for cloth diapers and we currently use (and like) the Pocket Doodlez diapers.
November 5, 2008 at 3:28 am |
I love the bumgenius 3.0!! They fit great, are easy to use, and I LOVE how you can stuff an extra liner in there for overnight use. I am so glad I made the switch to cloth, it’s so easy I am going to switch to cloth wipes too!!
November 5, 2008 at 3:58 am |
I love everything about cloth diapers. They are all wonderful and have come a long way from when my Daughter was a babe. I think I prefer the all in ones.(any Kind). I love the site newandgreen and think shes done a marvelous job. Thanks and happy diapering.
November 5, 2008 at 4:06 am |
I would love to try to switch over to a good quality cloth diaper for my little girl. Bamboo sounds very interesting!
November 5, 2008 at 4:40 am |
My preferred diapering system is fitted diapers with wool diaper covers. I would love to try the AMP Hemp Fleece fitted diapers with the Aristocrats cover. Using natural fibers is very important to me. Though must confess, haven’t had much success with wool diaper covers, however, I hear that the Aristocrats covers are great. Would love to give them a try!
November 5, 2008 at 6:27 am |
I love the FuzziBunz diapers, and my daughter is rapidly nearing the end of size Small so I would LOVE to start picking up some Mediums. They are so easy to use, and bright and colourful too.
November 5, 2008 at 7:53 pm |
The wool diapers look so comfy and cozy. All the products look amazing though.
November 5, 2008 at 9:18 pm |
I love the idea of bamboo diapers! So green and sooo soft! I also love the sugar peas wool flannel diaper covers, I love natural fibers, and those covers just look so easy!
November 6, 2008 at 12:24 am |
The bamboo diapers are fabulous and the wool covers are worth the cost.
November 6, 2008 at 12:51 am |
Hi! My favorite would be a small AIO (AMP or Monkey Doodlez) because although we are having our second baby we are new to cloth diapering therefore looking for convenience with best fit possible (attributes that we would get with a disposable.
November 6, 2008 at 5:17 am |
I love the idea of a bamboo diaper. So natural on the babes bottom.
November 6, 2008 at 5:18 am |
I like the wool diaper covers. This would be great for night use
November 6, 2008 at 5:46 am |
I would buy more Anna Maria Padore’s – LOVE THEM – they are so cute!! the cutest is the choc with pink!! Also love how quickly New & Green delivers – almost same day (well 1-2 days) for each of my orders! What a company! What an idea!! Canadian based / local company / small mom company. All the way! bring it on! Thanks New & Green!
November 6, 2008 at 5:47 am |
I can always use more diapers. Now that my little girl spends some time in care more diapers in your stash are totally needed. Love all the products and 50 dollars would be very easily spent. Thanks for the newsletters!
November 6, 2008 at 5:53 am |
I so wish I had know about New and Green before I had my baby. I would have invested in the one size diapers like the bumGenius. I saw these at the Baby Shower Show and i liek them. Plus I learned so much from the ladies about the different kind of liners as there is some wrong info out there and it has made me all excited about hemp and bamboo inserts.
We will be purchasing the bumGenius diapers as we can afford them and continue with the AIO’s we have right now.
November 6, 2008 at 5:54 am |
Our favourite diaper is the bumgenius because it’s one size fits all, AND it wicks away wet like nobody’s business. Great for overnight!
November 6, 2008 at 5:59 am |
For daytime, we love Monkey Doodlez because of the slim fit (for leaner babies), absorbency and how easy it is to put on and take off (the velcro makes it a simple). For night, when we’re looking for lots of absorbency and a stay dry feel, we swear by Bum Genius.
November 6, 2008 at 6:03 am |
We love the bumgenius for outings and overnight (no leaks all night!) and prefolds with the bummis super brites for at home. Bamboo is a great idea and I like how eco-friendly the production is. Cloth diapering has been way easier than I thought, I highly recommend it!
November 6, 2008 at 6:07 am |
I have bought lots of diapers from New & Green for my baby girl. I love the AMP AIO and the Monkey Doodlez Pocket diapers and the Bum Genius One Size. I would love to try the Bamboo Doodlez and buy some more diapers and maybe a wool cover for the night. I love using the cloth wipes and the cloth diapering system suggested by New & Green!
November 6, 2008 at 6:07 am |
I bought a supply of one size bumgenius diapers which worked great when my guy was smaller. Now that he’s upwards of one and a half we’ve ended up switching exclusively to disposables b/c the bumgenius were leaking ALL the time. I’d love to try out some different inserts and doublers so we can continue to use our disposables.
November 6, 2008 at 6:19 am |
We love the bum genius, we have never had a leak, they wash well and dry quickly. I love that the bum g’s have fit well on a 2 month old up to a 2 year old. We also use the AMP’s for the ease of use and great comfy fit. AMP’s do take a long time to dry but it’s worth it. I would love to try the bamboo all in one. I still do not have an overnight diaper that i love. Bamboo is breathable, anti bacterial, eco friendly and super absorbant.
November 6, 2008 at 6:21 am |
I’d use the gift certificate towards buying MORE fuzzibunz, because I think they are fantastic – I’ve used them on my son since he was born, and I find them easy to use, easy to clean and dang cute! I’d also stock up on a few more rolls of the biosoft liners, which I have ordered from N&G in the past … makes “messy” cleanups much easier!
November 6, 2008 at 6:25 am |
I totally love using prefolds with the Super Whisper Wraps. They are so versatile and r-useable before re-washing. Using pre-folds means having extra flexibility when it comes to sizing too. I can use a different cover but the same liner for my newborn as my toddler (who is ready for training pants again, after a brief–no pun intended– return to diapers). A new favorite though is the amazing Fuzzi Bunz which has a great feel, a dry-touch fleece lining, and highly adjustable sizing.
New &Green is an awesome locally-sourced sustainable business. I love their excellent quality products, superb sampling approach, and top-notch customer service. Thanks!
November 6, 2008 at 6:58 am |
I love New & Green! They were so helpful with starting out. I would use the gift certificate to buy more Bummis Covers and a new Bamboo AIO!
November 6, 2008 at 6:59 am |
I am new to cloth diapers and just went to one of these work shops put on by New & Green. After two months of cloth diaper use I must say I love the bumgenius! It is a great pocket diaper that fits well and is a one size fits all so can be used until my little one is potty trained! It even comes ith an extra liner that can be used as a smaller newborn option or can be used as an extra liner for night or for times when you know you can’t change a diaper as often as you would like. It is easy to use like a disposable, so care givers can easily use it too. These are easy to throw in the diaper bag and take with you anywhere along with a wet sack for storage of the soiled diaper. The other thing I like about these diapers is how quick they dry after washing. I have more of these on order and can’t wait to pick them up on Friday! Who knew that I’d get excited about diaper shopping?!?!?
November 6, 2008 at 7:39 am |
I am doing the trial right now and LOVE all the diapers. I would spend the $50 dollars on either the bum genius 3.0 or the Fuzzi Bunz 2008. I can’t decide! I think for diapering more than one child the Fuzzi Bunz 2008 would be my pick. Love New & Green. I learned so much from their website
November 6, 2008 at 7:39 am |
Our little guy is 11 weeks and while I initially bought prefolds and bummis covers with snappis from New and Green (which work great), I’ve also bought some fuzzibunz (size small) and a couple of BumGenius. I must say that we definitely use the FB and BG first, and then use the prefolds secondly, but really, all are so easy to use. My husband was skeptical of cloth diapering at first, but he’s realized it’s super easy. In fact, since we are going to now invest in some more Pocket Diapers to keep us going, I asked him which he prefers and he said “they’re all equally easy to use” which really made me happy. As long as I do the laundry, he’s happy, and it’s just another couple of loads a week. Economically I think the BumGenius diapers are a great way to go because they grow with your child, and although I love FuzziBunz, I just can’t afford a stash in each of the sizes. If I won the gift certificate, I’d use it for a wool cover over our Bambineo fitted diapers for nighttime – I keep bugging my mom to knit us a wool cover but she just doesn’t have the time, and I can’t seem to ever figure out knitting!
November 6, 2008 at 8:00 am |
Expecting my first and hoping to use the diaper tester program to find my favourites! Would probably spend the $50 on AIOs. Love that it reduces stuff going into the landfills and diaper rash at the same time. Talk about win-win!
November 6, 2008 at 8:48 am |
It’s so nice to know that we are doing our part to keep diapers out of the land fills. At the same time we are preserving our baby’s health by keeping him away from the unhealthy additives found in the average disposable diaper. My husband and I figured for these reasons we would suffer the inconvenience of cloth. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the cloth diapers were just as easy to use, in fact they are our preference! A friend recommended all in one pocket diapers and said she really liked the Fuzzi Bunz. We also love the Fuzzi Bunz! It’s a great diaper that is easy to use, drys fast, and the fleece lined shell is great for it’s anit-stick properties. No swishing or scraping solid poo into the toilet- a simple shake releases the contents. If I won the gift certificate, I would buy more medium Fuzzi Bunz. I would also like to try the bamboo all in one as I love that it is a diaper made out of natural sustainable materials.
November 6, 2008 at 9:48 am |
The pocket all in ones. So easy! =)
November 6, 2008 at 10:05 am |
If I won the gift certificate, I would either buy a couple of the bamboo all in ones or a wool diaper cover for night time sleeping. Right now we are still using disposibles as our baby is just a couple of weeks old. I received a gift certificate to New and Green at my shower, so this certificate would add to that to help me set up a complete diaper system.
November 6, 2008 at 1:35 pm |
I am using the Bumgenius 3.0 diapers right now, and they are awesome. I would use the certificate to add more to my stash!
November 6, 2008 at 1:37 pm |
If I won I would buy AIO diaper for the baby who soppuse to born in febrerary. It’s will be easy to use it for te night et the time we don’t be at home.
November 6, 2008 at 1:44 pm |
I would invest in some bumgenius diapers. I loved them with my first and he wore them all the way until he was two and a half and learned to use the potty. They still fit him for nights. With us trying to conceive another it would be just what I would need to help build a new stash.
November 6, 2008 at 3:06 pm |
My favourite diapers are the fuzzi buns – they are the only diapers that fit my newborn without leaking through her skinny little legs and the fleece lining is nice and soft and wicks away all the moisture from their sensitive little bums.
I also really enjoyed the diapering 101 workshop and I think the tester kits are a great idea – both of these are a big help to figure out what diaper options work best for you.
November 6, 2008 at 3:13 pm |
I love the Bum Genius 3.0! They’re the best diaper for my wiggly little guy who remains active during diaper changes. The velcro tabs stay put-even in the laundry and they’re a great fit.
November 6, 2008 at 3:25 pm |
I love bum genius and fuzzi bunz equally for different reasons (snaps/velcro, fleece/suede cloth) but at night nothing beats bamboo and a wool cover for my little lady.
November 6, 2008 at 3:29 pm |
Our family loves the pocket diaper system. At first my mother was skeptical of cloth diapering, but I assured her these are not the cloth diaper of yesteryear. The new cloth diapers are easy to use, safe for baby’s bottom and come in a variety of fun colours. In the summer we didn’t cover up the pocket diaper when our baby girl wore dresses. The fun colours complimented every outfit. As a Mom raising a baby in a chemical world, cloth diapering is a natural choice that makes me feel good about making an effort to reduce waste in the land fills and keep my baby far from harsh toxins found in disposable diapers. Thanks again to ‘New and Green’ for offering an easy to navigate website for, workshops and choices for the west coast parent.

I am a big fan of Fuzzibunz – our little guy now wears them exclusively, and they are fantastic – he is about to graduate to medium size and $50 would be a great start towards some bigger sizes in fabulous colours!
November 6, 2008 at 3:41 pm |
As a Dad I used my first cloth diaper when out and about. It was a Fuzzi Bunz and was no harder than a disposible diaper. I likee the option of the thigh and waist snaps for a perfect fit. I would use my $50 for more Fuzzi Bunz
November 6, 2008 at 3:57 pm |
I love the Bum Genius 3.0 diapers. The newnorn inserts are perfect for the day time and not too bulky, and the bigger inserts are perfect for the night time. She can wear it 12 hours and it never soaks through! Plus the one size is great for not having to buiy diapers in the future.
November 6, 2008 at 3:59 pm |
A good friend recommended the New and Green website and I am so happy she did! I have not only used them to fill my cloth diaper stash, but they have offered great advice for starting out with cloth. I use prefolds with the bummis super brites, but I would love to get more pocket diapers to use as my little one grows!
November 6, 2008 at 4:01 pm |
I used cloth diapers about 50% of the time with my daughter, and am just getting back into the routine with my 2 month old son. I appreciated the website, and their link about using cloth out and about has reinspired me. I also liked the washing tips and would love to try that detergent as well as some bamboo diapers, or even the inserts for my current diapers
November 6, 2008 at 4:04 pm |
I have both the bum genius and monkey doodlez. I much prefer the monkey doodlez as they have cuter colours and the velcro and PUL has held up much better. Though I’d love to use more snapped diapers, the only way my husband would commit to using cloth was if they were just as simple as disposable. Monkey doodlez are it for us!!

I love the Diaper Trial service. Such a great idea for people like me who like to try before committing! I have a few BumGenius 3.0s which are great, but I’d like to try the other all-in-ones, too.

I use Fuzzi Bunz diapers on my son that I bought from Karen at New and Green. I love the website, it is very informative and I love that you can pick up your orders which saves in shipping fees. I would love to win the $50 gift certificate so I could order some wool soakers and bigger diapers for my little monkey.

I love cloth diapers. I vowed to always use them on my baby and so far we are doing pretty well. I have tried everything. We use prefolds with covers in the day and then Bum genius pocket diapers at night. I love the bum genius because they keep my baby’s bum dry and rash free and I love that they are one size. I would also like to try other types of pocket diapers. If I could afford it I would use them always, but the covers are great to, but i only have a few.

I would love to try the bambineo! I mostly use prefolds and fitteds right now but my daughter has gotten so squirmy getting a prefold on her is nearly impossible and I run out of fitteds before I do laundry. I love fitteds because she can go coverless at home and I would love to try the bamboo. Bamboo fabric is so soft I’m sure she would love to wear them (maybe she’d even stop squirming away when I tried to put a new diaper on
)

My 14th month old is just growing out of her mediums so I need to buy larges (yeah fluffy mail!). I would love to try Monkey Doodlez AIO. I also need more wool covers!
November 6, 2008 at 4:21 pm |
We use Fuzzi Bunz and AMP AIOs, which we bought from New and Green. Cloth diapering can be very overwhelming, especially for a new parent. Karen was wonderful at helping us pick out some great diapers. We would love to win the $50 GC to purchase a wool cover to use with our bamboo diapers.

I came across New & Green Baby Co. while at a baby shower and have found it to be a great service for new moms. They carry my favourites; Fuzzi Bunz, Bummis and bumGenius. I can’t understand why anyone would use disposable diapers when these are so easy to use. I have a bucket of water and vinegar beside my change table and once full, I do a quick rinse cycle and then a regular wash. This system is quick, clean and better for both baby and Mother Earth.

I’m not sure why anyone would choose disposables over cloth diapers when this system is so easy to use. I have a diaper bucket full of water and vinegar beside my change table. Once full, I do a quick rinse cycle in cold water, then a regular wash cycle with a bit of borax and soap. This system is clean, easy and the best option for both baby and Mother Nature.

I LOVE Bumgenius & prefolds. Prefolds during the day-easy to wash, easy to use, and you can make them fit however you like. Bumgenius for nighttime & outings–so easy & they dry super fast. Also-the rice papers for more ‘grown-up’ poos–amazing! I also like the idea of all in ones for babysitters. New & Green is the absolute best!!
November 6, 2008 at 5:00 pm |
I’m expecting my first child in April and from browsing the New & Green website I am leaning towards using pocket diapers. However I am still a little overwhelmed at all the different options available and unsure of which system will work best for us so I am really looking forward to attending their Cloth Diaper 101 workshop in January!
November 6, 2008 at 5:04 pm |
I recently started using cloth, and love it! its so easy and the diapers works so well! I would buy a few more fuzzibunz, or maybe try the bumgenius organics. New & Green Baby has been such a wonderful source for information.
November 6, 2008 at 5:09 pm |
I love pockets. I’ve tried many many kinds and I love that they are customizable for wetness. I have used the bambineo fitteds for overnight and after that we never had a leak. I think bamboo is fabulous!!! New & Green has great promotions and info.
November 6, 2008 at 5:09 pm |
I love that this site ids local! and I am sing cloth diapers wioth my dd- i LOVE LOVE LOVE the bamoboo products I use the small bamboo wipes for dd and they are wonderful- very soft and wash well-
as for cloth- I woud not diaper any other way!

I love cloth diapers….Our baby Madison has yet to get a rash with cloth (whereas she did with disposables). I love using the Bum Genius at night because the insert can completely soak without my baby noticing, thanks to the wicking action of the diaper fibre. I also love Bambineo with Aristocrats cover because they never ever leak.
November 6, 2008 at 5:12 pm |
I use the BumGenius one-size pocket diapers for my toddler and my newborn with great success. I would really like to try the bamboo diapers from New & Green, though, just to see the difference.
November 6, 2008 at 6:04 pm |
I love the ease of using pocket diapers BumGenius!, MonkeyDoodlez, and FuzziBunz. BumGenius! allows for growth in height with its snaps and comes with 2 microfibre inserts so I don’t have to purchase extra inserts. Monkey Doodlez is the easiest to use and has the lowest profile, but takes a bit longer to dry. FuzziBunz has such a wide assortment of pretty colours with snaps that adjust in the leg and waist. It would be great to try the Bamboo Doodlez to compare absorbancy.
November 6, 2008 at 6:06 pm |
I think my favourite cloth diapering option would be pocket diapers, I like BumGenius 3.0 the best. They fit really well keeping messes in and are soft and comfortable all while looking really cute too. It’s also nice that they fit from newborn through potty training so you don’t have to keep buying new sizes. I use prefolds at home during the day with bummis super whisper wrap covers which are a great economical option but I think if I could, I’d buy more and more pocket diapers just for the ease of use and look. I’d like to try bamboo fitted diapers or AIO for their softness and I hear they’re a really absorbent option for night too. We’re so blessed to have so many cloth diapering options out there for us now! Thanks New & Green!
November 6, 2008 at 6:50 pm |
I like the idea of a bamboo product and I’m also a fan of the All In One diapers – it’s easier to convince others to help with diaper changes if it as simple as can be. Hence the Monkey Doodlez Bamboo AIO looks good to me – although a little on the expensive side. Fuzzi Bunz Pocket diapers look good too – Snaps may be preferable to velcro as velcro seems to fail after much use – maybe snaps do too though. Lots of great products to try.
November 6, 2008 at 6:55 pm |
We use BumGenius and pre-folds. The pre-folds work great and have never once leaked on us although I find they don’t absorb as much and leave baby feeling wet so need to be changed often. Bum Genius are great because they keep baby feeling dry but we’ve had the occasional leak with them. I’m interested in trying out bamboo as I hear they’re more absorbent and less bulky!
November 6, 2008 at 7:43 pm |
I can’t wait to use the bum genius that i have ordered, still have to wait 6 weeks for the wiggly one to arrive. Until then I have to keep practicing on my teddy bear (and he is very good at sitting still and not making any leaks or smells).
November 6, 2008 at 8:30 pm |
My 5 month old son is growing out of the awesome hemp flat and pocket diapers I originally got through New and Green, so I need to buy some larger ones! I am thinking I will go with the Bumgenius AIO’s as my husband finds those the easiest to deal with, and other caregivers will too. I may also splurge on another Tots Bots bamboo diaper – so luxiourious! I love both the wool diaper covers I have – one aristocrats and one sugar peas wool flannel cover. The aristocrats is especially nice now that the weather is getting cooler!
November 6, 2008 at 9:03 pm |
I would definitely get one of those aristocrat wool covers, i can’t get enough wool even for myself. Love new and green, great vancouver company! Fuzzi bunz and prefolds are my choice.
November 6, 2008 at 9:26 pm |
I am a big fan of both the Bum Genius AIO diapers as well as the Monkey Doodlez pocket diapers.
My son is rather small and lean for his age and these diapers have a great fit around the thighs. Never leaks.
I would definitely get more of either of these great diapers.
November 6, 2008 at 9:26 pm |
I would use the $50 for the new Bamboo AIOs, I currently use a combination of prefolds and bamboo at night for it’s excellent absorbancy. So I’d like something that absorb just as well but even more convenient than prefolds. My baby is 10 months old and likes to move around too much for me to fuss with a snappi.
November 6, 2008 at 9:43 pm |
I found cloth diapering to be a lot less hassle then ever imagined!! We went super old school with hemp prefolds which worked great when our little one was less motivated to move. Now that she’s motorting around all the time, the formed diapers with velcro fasteners are much quicker on the draw than trying to attatch a snappy to the prefold. We found that as the hemp tightened after many many washes it was great for absorbancy but the snappy had no where to “dig in” and it was more and more challenging to keep the diaper on.
We would use the $50 for a sprayer for all the new poo now tha she’s starting solids!!
November 6, 2008 at 10:22 pm |
I have tried almost everything…separate diaper and liner, fuzzibuns, happy heinys, haute pockets, motherease, sweet cheeks…but the winner is definitely bumGenius. They fit the best, and continue to fit as my little guy continues to become increasingly not so little. As friends and family see how easy and how cute these diapers are, those that are passed their diapering days say, “If only I had known…”, and those whose diapering days are yet to come will surely rethink the attitude thacloth diapering is just one more thing to do when you are facing the mountain of tasks that having a baby entails. If I can do it, so can they! Plus, aren’t all the cartoon characters and gaudy colouring (green and orange!) of most of the disposables a little bit nauseating?
November 6, 2008 at 10:35 pm |
I love the naturalness and breath-ability of wool. So I’d be choosing the Aristocrat diaper covers for sure if i were fortunate enough to receive a gift certificate. They’d be such welcome solution to many-a-wet mornings!
November 7, 2008 at 1:09 am |
I agree with some other moms about the night time issue and having wet mornings. My cloths get too full in the night cause my babe still eats like 3 times. Having a wool cover would be awesome and then I could stop using disposables.
November 7, 2008 at 1:28 am |
Currently my baby is using prefold diapers and I would love to try a Bamboo Doodlez All-in-One Diaper. They look very soft and I love that they are non toxic. I would also like to try the wool diaper cover for night time use or our long walks.
November 7, 2008 at 1:54 am |
I’ve heard good things about the BumGenius and have been wanting to try them. I also like that New & Green has a two week diaper tester program.
November 7, 2008 at 4:05 am |
I have heard wonderful things about BumGenius and Fuzzi Bunz. I just ordered some Fuzzi Bunz for my two year old’s nighttime diaper. I am expecting my second child in April and intend on using one of these two brands of cloth diapers from day one. I heard about New & Green this week from a friend of mine and never knew cloth diapering could be made so easy. I am actually attending a Diaper 101 workshop next month and I am excited about it.
November 7, 2008 at 4:51 am |
I love the pocket diaper Fuzzi Bunz. I love their fun colours and I like how easy they are to wash. They dry super fast too.
November 7, 2008 at 5:50 am |
I really like the Happy Henni diapers, they are nice and soft for babies bum, fit snug and dry really fast.
November 7, 2008 at 6:12 am |
Hands down the wool diaper covers. My friend uses them and raves about how great they are at keeping baby dry. They definately seem to be the answer to the leaking we are having at night with our current cloth diapers.
November 7, 2008 at 7:22 am |
Thanks to New & Green’s well researched and laid out website I have been able to establish a cloth diapering system that works for myself and my 6 week old daughter. I use a combination of pocket and AIO diapers for outings, prefolds and cotton fitteds for at home changes and heavy duty bamboo and hemp fitteds for over night. And I have bought all of them from New and Green. I would LOVE to buy a wool cover so that I can have an over night option made entirely of natural fibers. Keep up the great work!!
November 7, 2008 at 5:28 pm |
Yeah New and Green! I already love your website and company which I have recommended to several friends. My favorite products are Bum Genius diapers and the amp bamboo inserts that can be folded in a variety of ways for overnights. Thank-you Karen at New and Green for making cloth diapering so convenient with all your information and products. What would I get? I have become a cloth diaper junkie so maybe some Fuzzi bunz with some cool colours for fun.
November 7, 2008 at 10:00 pm |
I am expecting my first child in just 8 weeks and I am planning to exclusively cloth diaper. I love New & Green’s Hemp and Bamboo products as they are a natural and so very soft!
November 7, 2008 at 11:59 pm |
Fuzzibunz Pocket Diapers are my favorite.
November 8, 2008 at 3:08 am |
I have been using cloth diapers since my daughter was two months old and I wish I had started earlier. In the summer many people commented on how great cloth diapers on now.
November 8, 2008 at 3:53 am |
I love that this is a Canadian co. I would love to try the wool diaper cover for nighttime, bamboo diapers and the AIO’s. I currently use prefolds with separate covers. With my 3rd on the way, I need an extra arm or two. Using cloth is great for the environment. I also hang dry everything, as we don’t have a dryer.
November 8, 2008 at 4:40 am |
Ditto on loving that this is a Canadian, and for me, local, company! We’re big fans of the pocket diapers (ie bumgenius) at our house – they are so easy to use, just like disposable diapers so easy to get hubs on board. And because the insert separates from the cover, they line dry so well (in the summer, at least…!) so I can avoid the dryer and save some energy
BUT my favourite thing from New & Green is the Deo Disks, hands down. They are the best diaper pail deodorizers I have ever found.
November 8, 2008 at 6:49 am |
We love Fuzzi Bunz! We plan to keep using them and are taking good care of them for our next baby. They are well made, easy to use, and of course we LOVE the colors! We let our girl pick the color she’s in the mood for. We definitely want to order more Fuzzi Bunz and would like to try the Bamboo options too! Here’s hoping we win the prize! Thanks!
November 8, 2008 at 7:56 am |
Loving all the options for cloth diapering these days! My first is in disposables, but we’re seriously looking into cloth for our second. I’m especially interested in the Bumgenius since they look as easy to use as disposables.
November 8, 2008 at 6:35 pm |
I have 4 children, i have my 9 week old in cloth and my 2 year old in cloth trainers. I am proud of cloth diapering my children. It is of course, a little more work, but my babies bums are so much healthier, disposables cause their bums to rash. I would buy the diaper shower and some extra hemp inserts with this GC. I love the hemp inserts i have they are amazing for holding moisture, especially at night!!
